House of Love

Children's Orphanage

Built in 2012, House of Love is an orphanage in Leshuta, Kenya Africa that provides a loving and Christ-centered home environment for 36 girls living in one of the poorest countries in the world. In addition to clothing, nutritional meals, clean water, and health care, they receive a quality education and are provided with shoes, uniforms, and required school material. The girls are nurtured and protected from forced child marriages, forced circumcision, child labor, and child trafficking. Above all, each girl is raised knowing that they are valued and precious, and that Jesus loves them and has a wonderful plan for their lives.

Ours is a hands-on, direct impact approach with our staff personally distributing items and supervising the projects we fund. House of Love is situated on several fenced acres that were donated by the village of Leshuta. Generous donations were used to build the home, the kitchen, the chicken coop, the director’s home, and the water pump. We grow our own fresh vegetables, have cows for fresh milk, goats for meat, and chickens for fresh eggs. The property is run by solar power and biofuel. And for this reason we are able to keep our expenses low.

You can make a general donation to the Jan McCray Ministries online or specify that your financial gift is for the House of Love. Your donation ensures that girls at the House of Love receive the tools needed to reach their highest potential with dignity and joy. You can make a one-time donation or please consider an on-going monthly donation. The cost-of-living expenses and education for each girl is $90/month.
