Founded in 1985, the Jan McCray Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
charitable organization that works with widows, orphans, and vulnerable
children in the rural villages of Naikarra and Leshuta in Kenya, Africa.
Our Mission
The mission of the Jan McCray Ministries is simple:
That the church should honor widows and orphans by showing God’s love and care for them. Throughout Scripture we see God’s heart for the fatherless and the widows, and James 1:27 makes very clear the mandate to care for both. “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.”
There is a tremendous blessing in serving and standing up for orphans and widows. It is to that end that the Jan McCray Ministries built the House of Love orphanage in Leshuta where 36 orphaned girls are provided with a loving home. In addition, we currently support 40 widows in Naikarra.
House of Love
Built in 2012, House of Love Orphanage provides a loving and Christ-centered home environment for 36 girls living in one of the poorest countries in the world.
Donate today to make a life-changing difference. Together, we can make a very real and lasting impact in the lives of the orphaned and abandoned.
Widow's Ministry
One of the most neglected groups of people in today’s African society are the widows. It is estimated that one in ten women in Africa above the age of 14 is widowed. Presently the JMM cares for over 40 widows each month through our widow’s outreach program.
